The project aims at supplying good
quality potable water in sufficient
quantities to the islands of Corfu and
Paxi including the city of Corfu and 11
more municipalities, hotel complexes
and touristic installations
(total population of 260,000 inhabitants
and 140,000 tourists).
The works performed include:
• Preliminary and Final Designs for the
water supply system (dams, conduits,
tunnel, reservoirs, water treatment
station, pumping stations)
• Studies to reduce and control water
leakage
• Environmental impact assessment
studies
• Necessary preparatory works
including hydro-geological and
geotechnical studies, laboratory water
analyses, water flow measurements
• Study of a Water Conservation
Program
• Hydraulic model (network)
• Proposal for the establishment of a
Water Resources Management
